The handbook contains a description of the appliance and useful tips for storing food. After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is undamaged and that the door closes properly. [. . . ] Dairy products, cheese 34 NOTES: • The space between the shelves and the rear wall must be unobstructed to allow circulation of air. • Do not place food in direct contact with the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. • Storing vegetables with a high water content can result in condensation in the crisper drawer: this will not affect the correct operation of the appliance. • Defrosting of the refrigerator compartment is completely automatic. • The refrigerator can operate at ambient temperatures between +10°C and +38°C. IMPORTANT: • If food is placed in the refrigerator before the appliance has reached a suitable temperature for storing food, it may deteriorate. • Turning the refrigerator and freezer controls to a cooler than recommended setting will not cool the compartments any faster. • A built-in exterior moisture control continuously guards against moisture build-up on the front edges; do not be alarmed if these edges feel warm to the touch. The inside light switches on when the refrigerator door is opened. EXTRA SHELF (depending on the model) Your refrigerator is provided with extra wire shelf. • To use it, pull it frontward to the position indicated in the pictures. • When not in use, just pull it upward and then push it backward. • To remove the shelf, just slide the side locks (if available) as in the picture, and pull it toward you. • After replacing the extra shelf, slide the side locks in its original position. 1 2 3 35 SLIDING GLASS SHELVES (depending on the model) Your refrigerator is provided with sliding glass shelves which make it easier for you to access foods stored at the shelves or at lower shelves. • The edges of the shelves prevent split liquids from going to other compartments. Changing the position of shelves: Your refrigerator allows you to change the position of shelves according to your needs. • Keep the lock pressed down ad shown in the picture detail, and pull the shelf frontward until it is released. • Remove the rails as in the picture and place them where you wish. • To place the rails observe the inscrition “ ” written on the rail. • After that, place the shelf on them. 1 HOW TO OPERATE THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT ADJUSTING THE TEMPERATURE: To change the temperature inside the freezer compartment, press the Menu button until the freezer temperature symbol turns on. Then adjust the temperature by pressing the +/- buttons and confirm by pressing “OK”. The temperature adjustment range is from -18°C to -24 °C. 36 V 2 3 4 5 GUIDE TO STORAGE AND THAWING OF FOOD After switching on the appliance, the freezer compartment takes approximately 3 hours to reach a suitable temperature for frozen food storage. The freezer compartment, marked with the symbol , is used for storing frozen food and freezing fresh or cooked food. The inner door of the freezer is especially suitable for storing pizza or frozen food with a short storage time. [. . . ] If the appliance door has been left open for a while or if large amounts of food have been stored, the motor will run longer in order to cool down the interior of the appliance. 41 Remember Motor running time depends on different things: number of door openings, amount of food stored, temperature of the room, setting of the temperature controls. If, after performing the above checks, your appliance still does not work properly, contact the After-sales Service, explain the problem, specifying the model and appliance service number (stated on the data plate).
