Easy IP the radio will be used in a GPS radio network to generate or receive CMR corrections as well as provide two-way data transfer between the office and machines.
42. 3
Network menu
Use this menu to control which network the radio-modem is operating on. By choosing a unique hopping pattern, you can reduce the likelihood of interference from nearby transmitters. Note If a GPS radio network is operating on the same site, the ATS radio network should be configured to operate on a different network.
42. 4
ATS Port menu
Use this menu to set which port is connected to the ATS. The SNB900 radio-modem can be connected to the ATS using either the Lemo or Modem port. When the ATS port is selected from the front panel, the unit automatically configures the port to 9600 baud rate, 8 data bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit.
4. 3
Installing the SNB900 radio-modem as an ATS base
When the radio-modem is used as an ATS base radio, it transmits positioning information from the ATS to an earthmoving machine. To install the radio-modem as an ATS base when using a Trimble ACU to start the ATS: 1. Attach the SNB900 radio-modem on a leg of the tripod that the ATS is setup on using the tripod clip on the bottom of the SNB900. Connect the SNB900 radio-modem to the ATS using the following parts as shown in the image below: a. Cable Adapter T-Connector, Hirose-Hirose-Hirose (P/N 571202312) Cable 0. 75m-1. 75m, Hirose to Hirose Spiral Cable (P/N 571208068) 4-pin Hirose to 26-pin serial cable (P/N 53007007) Cable 3. 0m, Car Battery to Hirose (P/N 571202326)
