Disconnect the floppy disk drive from the computer. n 91 N Using Peripheral Devices Connecting a Printer You can connect a Windows-compatible printer to your computer to print documents. Using Normal Mode This is the normal state of the computer when it is in use. To save power while not working, you can turn off a specific device such as the LCD screen or the hard disk drive. n 102 N Customizing Your VAIO Computer Using Sleep Mode Sleep mode turns off the LCD screen and places the hard disk drive and the CPU into a low power consumption mode. Turn off your computer if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time. To activate Sleep mode Click Start, the arrow next to the Lock button, and Sleep. When your computer is in Sleep mode, you cannot insert a disc. Alternatively, you can press the sleep button on the wireless keyboard or the remote commander to place your computer into Sleep mode. To return to Normal mode Press the power button on your computer. Press the sleep button on the wireless keyboard or the remote commander, or the space bar on the wireless keyboard. !
