Dual mode
Withanarrowbeamyou continuouslyneedtooperatethetiltto keepthebeamontheschool. During thebusycatchingtime, twowider verticalbeamscanautomaticallybe selected. Targettrackingisthenmade lessdependentonthetiltangle.

Theverticalviewis primaryusedtomeasurethedepthof theschool. Thisviewisprovidedso youdonotneedtosaildirectlyover theschool. Thiswouldscatterthefish, andbreakuptheschoolinseveral smallerparts.
