Important Failure to connect the red lead (ACC) of this unit to a terminal coupled with ignition switch on/off operations may lead to battery drain. [. . . ] After selecting, perform the following procedures to set the audio function. When the rear output setting is SW, you cannot adjust front/rear speaker balance. If you make adjustments when a curve other than CUSTOM2 is selected, the equalizer curve settings will be stored in CUSTOM1. Perform these connections when not connecting a rear speaker lead to a subwoofer. Install this unit away from hot places such as near the heater outlet. Optimum performance is obtained when the unit is installed at an angle of less than 60°. To ensure proper heat dispersal when using this unit, make sure you leave ample space behind the rear panel and wrap any loose cables so they are not blocking the vents when installing the unit. This unit can be properly installed using either front-mount or rear-mount installation. If there is enough space, use the mounting sleeve that came with the vehicle. 2 Secure the mounting sleeve by using a screwdriver to bend the metal tabs (90°) into place. If a metal object (such as a coin) is inserted into the slot, the internal circuits may break and cause malfunctions. Do not use an adapter which has metal parts other than the connectors exposed.
