In order to balance the sound from all the speakers in your system you can adjust the relative level of each speaker. Adjust so that the level of each speaker is similar from your listening position. While setting the channel levels, you can either listen to a multichannel source (such as a DVD), or use the builtin test tone feature. Setting the channel levels using the test tone SYSTEM SETUP The test tone feature outputs a constant noise tone from each speaker, giving you a good reference to adjust the levels. ENTER ENTER TEST TONE 1 Press SYSTEM SETUP (front panel or remote). This is the receiver's current setting for the distance from your listening position to each of the front left and right speakers. 2 Use the / (cursor left/right) buttons to change the distance setting. · You can also use the < and > buttons on the front panel. 3 Press SYSTEM SETUP again to select the center speaker distance setting, then set using the / (cursor left/right) buttons.
