Manual abstract: user guide PIONEER S-DV88SW

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] These labels can be found on the DVD/CD tuner rear panel (US model)/bottom panel (European model), and on the powered subwoofer rear panel. Please read through these operating instructions so you will know how to operate your model properly. After you have finished reading the instructions, put them away in a safe place for future reference. When using this product, follow the instructions written on the underside of the unit, which concern the XV-DV77/XV-DV88. [. . . ] PTY Program Type 2 Stop on the one you want and after a few seconds the RDS information will appear. ⷠRadio Text data longer than 14 characters scrolls across the display. If there is noise during the RT scroll display, some characters may be temporarily displayed incorrectly. ⷠIf there is no Program Type data being broadcast, the display reverts to Program Service name. You can search for a station that is broadcasting any program type from the list on page 54. 3 Use the 4 and ¢ buttons to choose a program type, then press SYSTEM DISP. After pressing SYSTEM DISP, the system starts searching through the station presets for a match. When it finds one, the search stops and the station plays for 5 seconds. The display shows the preset station number, the frequency, then the program type. 4 If you want to keep listening to the station, press SYSTEM DISP within the 5 seconds. Even with file sizes one-tenth the size of CD audio, the sound quality remains reasonable. It may take upwards of 20 seconds for the system to read the contents of the disc. It may take a few seconds for the system to locate the track on the disc, depending on the complexity of the file structure. After the selected track has played out, the next track recorded on the disc starts playing. Except in program or random play, the system remembers the current folder as long as the disc remains in the player. 2 Use the number buttons or the 4/¢ buttons to select a track within the current folder. Using random play Use the random play feature to play tracks on a disc in a random order. Random play is also canceled if the disc tray is opened, you press PROGRAM, or you use the number buttons to jump to another track. Using repeat play Use the repeat play feature to repeat the current track, or all the tracks on the disc. Each press changes the repeat play mode: · Repeat track (the RPT-1 indicator lights) Repeat folder (the RPT indicator lights) Repeat disc (the RPT indicator lights) Repeat off If you stop playback or open the disc tray, repeat play is also canceled. Track name (also shows track number and elapsed playback time) Folder name (also shows folder number and elapsed playback time) Track remain / total time (also shows folder number and elapsed playback time) Encoding bit-rate (also shows folder number and elapsed playback time) · Press DVD/DISP when the disc is stopped to display disc information. Use the MP3 Navigator to make searching for the track(s) you want to play easier. [. . . ] Note that making settings in the Setup screen menus may cancel the resume function. ⷠIf the power was cut due to power failure or by unplugging the power cord, settings will be canceled. ⷠCheck that the video connections are correct and that plugs are inserted fully. Make sure that the TV Screen option in the Setup menu matches the TV/monitor you're using. [. . . ]
