[. . . ] Selecting and playing files/ tracks from the name list After selecting, perform the following procedures to set the function. SUBWOOFER1 (subwoofer on/off setting) This unit is equipped with a subwoofer output which can be turned on or off. SUBWOOFER2 (subwoofer adjustment) The cut-off frequency and output level can be adjusted when the subwoofer output is on. Only frequencies lower than those in the selected range are outputted from the subwoofer. To cycle between the cut-off frequency and output level of the subwoofer. SLA (source level adjustment) SLA (Source Level Adjustment) lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. AM STEP (AM tuning step)/MW STEP (MW tuning step) DEH-2350UB and DEH-2350UBG: AM STEP PL-J500: MW STEP The AM/MW tuning step can be switched between 9 kHz, the preset step, and 10 kHz. When using the tuner in North, Central or South America, reset the tuning step from 9 kHz (531 kHz to 1 602 kHz allowable) to 10 kHz (530 kHz to 1 640 kHz allowable). AUX (auxiliary input) Activate this setting when using an auxiliary device connected to this unit. After selecting, perform the following procedures to set the initial setting. FM STEP (FM tuning step) The FM tuning step employed by seek tuning can be switched between 100 kHz, the preset step, and 50 kHz. The ground wire of the power amp and the one of this unit or any other device must be connected to the car separately with different screws. If the screw for the ground wire loosens or falls out, it could result in fire, generation of smoke or malfunction. Metal parts of car's body # AUX cannot be selected unless the auxiliary setting is turned on. When installing this unit in a vehicle without an ACC (accessory) position on the ignition switch, failure to connect the red cable to the terminal that detects operation of the ignition key may result in battery drain. To prevent a short-circuit, overheating or malfunction, be sure to follow the directions below. Power cord input Rear output or subwoofer output Antenna input Fuse (10 A) Wired remote input Hard-wired remote control adaptor can be connected (sold separately). Subwoofer (4 ) When using a subwoofer of 70 W (2 ), be sure to connect the subwoofer to the violet and violet/black leads of this unit. This unit can be properly installed using either front-mount or rear-mount installation. Perform these connections when not connecting a rear speaker lead to a subwoofer. If there is enough space, use the mounting sleeve that came with the vehicle. 2 Secure the mounting sleeve by using a screwdriver to bend the metal tabs (90°) into place. USB storage device is not formatted with FAT12, FAT16 or FAT32 Use only discs featuring either of following two logos.
