[. . . ] RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT OPEN The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons. To prevent a fire or shock hazard, do not place any container filled with liquid near this equipment (such as a vase or flower pot) or expose it to dripping, splashing, rain or moisture. Do not pull out the plug by tugging the cord and never touch the power cord when your hands are wet as this could cause a short circuit or electric shock. The power cords should be routed such that they are not likely to be stepped on. [. . . ] For correct speaker settings, do not adjust the volume during the test tones. The settings made in the Auto MCACC Setup should give you excellent surround sound from your system, but it is also possible to adjust these settings manually using the System Setup menu (starting on page 66). Other problems when using the Auto MCACC Setup If the room environment is not optimal for the Auto MCACC Setup (too much background noise, echo off the walls, obstacles blocking the speakers from the microphone) the final settings may be incorrect. check for household appliances (air conditioner , fridge , fan , etc. ), that may be affecting the environment and switch them off if necessary. If there are any instructions showing in the front panel display, please follow them. If this seems to be happening, switch off the TV when doing the Auto MCACC Setup. Note 1 The subwoofer distance setting may be farther than the actual distance from the listening position. This setting should be accurate (taking delay and room characteristics into account) and generally does not need to be changed. On this system, it is possible to switch the input signals for the different inputs as described below. When DIGITAL (C1/O1/O2) or HDMI (H) is selected and the selected audio input is not provided, A (analog) is automatically selected. Each press cycles through the following: · For other inputs, HDMI cannot be selected. 2 When set to DIGITAL or HDMI, 2 lights when a Dolby Digital signal is input, and DTS lights when a DTS signal is input. To prevent noise, make the proper digital connections (page 27) and set the signal input to C1/O1/O2 (DIGITAL). For more details, refer to the instruction manual supplied with your DVD player. 2 When the HDMI option in Setting the Audio options on page 63 is set to THRU, the sound will be heard through your TV, not from this system. [. . . ] The OSD will not appear if you have connected using the HDMI output to your TV. If you've made separate connections for audio, make sure you have assigned the analog/digital jack(s) to the corresponding HDMI input for the component. There are cases where you may not be able to route HDMI signals through this system (this depends on the HDMI equipped component you are connecting-check with the manufacturer for HDMI compatibility information). If you aren't receiving HDMI signals properly through this system (from your component), please try the following configuration when connecting up. [. . . ]
