[. . . ] This unit is not designed to operate disc title list functions with a 50-disc multi-CD player. En 43 Section 09 Multi-CD Player Introduction of advanced multi-CD player operation Note If you do not operate the function within about 30 seconds, the display is automatically returned to the playback display. Repeating play 1 1 Function display Shows the function names. There are three repeat play ranges for the multi-CD player: M-CD (multi-CD player repeat), TRACK (one-track repeat) and DISC (disc repeat). 1 Use the joystick to select REPEAT. 2 Move the joystick left or right to select the repeat range. !If you select other discs during repeat play, the repeat play range changes to M-CD. If you perform track search or fast forward/reverse during TRACK, the repeat play range changes to DISC. # To go to the next group of function names, move the joystick to NEXT and click it. # To return to the previous group of function names, move the joystick to PREV and click it. # To return to the playback display, press BAND/ESC. Playing tracks in a random order Random play lets you play back tracks in a random order within the repeat range, M-CD and DISC. 2 Use the joystick to select RANDOM. 44 En Section Multi-CD Player 09 3 Move the joystick up to turn random play on. Tracks will play in a random order within the previously selected M-CD or DISC ranges. # To turn random play off, move the joystick down. 2 Move the joystick up to turn pause on. Play of the current track pauses. # To turn pause off, move the joystick down. Using ITS playlists ITS (instant track selection) lets you make a playlist of favorite tracks from those in the multi-CD player magazine. After you have added your favorite tracks to the playlist you can turn on ITS play and play just those selections. Scanning CDs and tracks While you are using DISC, the beginning of each track on the selected disc plays for about 10 seconds. When you are using M-CD, the beginning of the first track of each disc is played for about 10 seconds. 2 Use the joystick to select SCAN. Multi-CD Player Creating a playlist with ITS programming You can use ITS to enter and play back up to 99 tracks per disc, up to 100 discs (with the disc titles). (With multi-CD players sold before the CDX-P1250 and CDX-P650, up to 24 tracks can be stored in the playlist. ) 1 Play a CD that you want to program. 2 Use the joystick to select ITS MEMORY. 3 Move the joystick up to turn scan play on. The first 10 seconds of each track of the current disc (or the first track of each disc) is played. 4 When you find the desired track (or disc) move the joystick down to turn scan play off. Note After track or disc scanning is finished, normal playback of the tracks will begin again. 3 Move the joystick left or right to select the desired track. 4 Move the joystick up to store the currently playing track in the playlist. MEMORY is displayed briefly and the currently playing selection is added to your playlist. The display then shows track number again. Note After data for 100 discs has been stored in memory, data for a new disc will overwrite the oldest one. Pausing CD playback Pause lets you temporarily stop disc playback. 1 Use the joystick to select PAUSE. En 45 Section 09 Multi-CD Player Playback from your ITS playlist ITS play lets you listen to the tracks that you have entered into your ITS playlist. When you turn on ITS play, tracks from your ITS playlist in the multi-CD player will begin to play.
