your display. 2 Keep this manual handy as a reference for operating procedures and safety information. You can change the fader/balance setting so that it can provide the ideal listening environment in all occupied seats. 1 Touch FADER BALANCE on the audio function menu. # When the rear output setting is SUB. FRONT:15 to REAR:15 is displayed as the front/rear speaker balance moves from front to rear. # FR:00 is the proper setting when only two speakers are used. Refer to Setting the rear output and subwoofer controller on page 95. 3 Touch c or d to adjust left/right speaker balance. Each time you touch c or d it moves the left/ right speaker balance towards the left or the right. LEFT:09 to RIGHT:09 is displayed as the left/ right speaker balance moves from left to right. En 71 Section 16 Audio Adjustments Using the equalizer The equalizer lets you adjust the equalization to match the car's interior acoustic characteristics as desired. Adjusting equalizer curves You can adjust the currently selected equalizer curve setting as desired. You can adjust the center frequency and the Q factor (curve characteristics) of each currently selected curve band (LOW/MID/ HIGH). Recalling equalizer curves There are six stored equalizer curves which you can easily recall at any time. Each time you touch c or d selects equalizer bands in the following order: LOW (low)--MID (mid)--HIGH (high) 3 Touch c or d on the LEVEL setting to adjust the level of the equalizer band. Each time you touch c or d increases or decreases the level of the equalization band. 4 Touch c or d on the FREQUENCY setting to select the desired frequency. Low: 40HZ--80HZ--100HZ--160HZ Mid: 200HZ--500HZ--1KHZ--2KHZ High: 3KHZ--8KHZ--10kHZ--12KHZ 5 Touch c or d on the Q. FACTOR setting to select the desired Q factor. If you make adjustments, the equalizer curve settings are memorized in Custom. When Flat is selected, no supplement or correction is made to the sound.
