[. . . ] Refer to Basic operations on page 11. 38 En Section Menu operations 2 Display the system menu. 4 Touch Rear Speaker to switch the subwoofer output or full-range speaker. Even if you change this setting, there will be no output unless you turn the subwoofer output on (refer to Using subwoofer output on page 33). If you change this setting, subwoofer output in the audio menu will return to the factory settings. 10 2 Display the system menu. Touching AM Step will switch the AM tuning step between 9 kHz and 10 kHz. The selected AM tuning step will appear in the display. Switching sound muting/ attenuation Sound from this system is automatically muted or attenuated when a signal from equipment with a mute function is received. Sound from this system returns to normal when the muting or attenuation is canceled. Menu operations Setting the FM tuning step !Touching FM Step will switch the FM tuning step between 50 kHz and 100 kHz. The selected FM tuning step will appear. 1 Display the system menu. ATT ­20dB ­ Attenuation (ATT ­20dB has a stronger effect than ATT ­10dB) !When Mute is displayed, the sound is turned off and no audio adjustments can be made. When ATT is displayed, the sound is attenuated and no other audio adjustments can be made. Operation returns to normal when the phone connection is ended. Setting the AM tuning step The AM tuning step can be switched between 9 kHz, the preset step, and 10 kHz. When using the tuner in North, Central or South America, reset the tuning step from 9 kHz (531 kHz to 1 602 kHz allowable) to 10 kHz (530 kHz to 1 640 kHz allowable). Refer to Basic operations on page 11. En 39 Section 10 Menu operations Selecting the menu language The menu language can be selected from four languages. If text information such as the title name, artist name or a comment is embedded in a European language or Russian, they can also be displayed on this unit. The language can be changed for the following: -- System menu -- Video Setup menu -- On-screen display -- Multi language setting for DivX !If the embedded language and the selected language setting are not the same, text information may not display properly. To complete this operation, switch the ignition key off and on after you set this setting. 2 Touch System Language on the system menu to select the desired language.
