The items that can be installed are shown on the left side of the screen. Or: If there are certain items you do not wish to install, check the boxes before these items. Or: Click 'Next' to continue. > The 'Reboot' screen appears. 8 Select `Yes' to restart your PC / laptop, then click `Finish'. > The WebCam Video Viewer desktop shortcut will be installed after installation. > Via the WebCam Video Viewer you have access to all camerarelated software. 9 You can now connect your WebCam. 9 EN Installation Connecting the WebCam to your PC / laptop 6 6 5 5 3 7 8 3 1 Be sure to run the installation CD first, before connecting the WebCam to the PC / laptop. 3 Connect the USB connector of the USB cable to the USB port of the PC / laptop. You can also select fixed settings for `Indoor', `Outdoor' and `Fluorescence' conditions or use the `Red' and `Blue' sliders if you would like to set the WebCam according to your personal color temperature preferences. 0 Brightness Brightness enables you to adjust the brightness of the displayed image or video to suit your own preference. Use the slider to find your preferred setting. EN 13 EN WebCam settings !Contrast Contrast enables you to control the ratio between dark and light according to your own preference. @ Gamma Gamma enables you to brighten dark areas within the displayed image or video and visualize more details without over-exposing already light areas. # Saturation Saturation enables you to set the color reproduction from black and white to a full color image or video according to your own preference. $ Black and white The 'Black and white' checkbox is used to switch from color images to black and white and back. % Backlight compensation Turn on the backlight compensation to improve the image quality when you have a scene where the background has a high illumination level (for instance when you are sitting in front of a bright light). ^ Mirror Clicking the 'Mirror Image' checkbox flips the image horizontally. You can use this feature when you want to use the Philips SPA 2602 and monitor as a mirror, or to take pictures of mirrored images. & Low light enhancement Enabling the Low light enhancement function makes it possible to notice more details under low light conditons by an additional video gain boost. 14 Operating the WebCam WebCam Video Viewer All WebCam applications can be accessed via the WebCam Video Viewer. The WebCam Video Viewer is the central application for easy access to your Philips WebCam and all image and video applications installed during setup. · Start the WebCam Video Viewer: - through the Windows QuickLaunch menu in your taskbar, - via the program group `SPA 2602 WebCam', or - by clicking the the WebCam Video Viewer icon on the desktop. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: · Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
