[. . . ] As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in the plug, proceed as follows. - The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK. - The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED. WARNING Under no circumstances should either of these wires be connected to the earth terminal of the three pin plug, marked with the letter E or the Earth Symbol WARNING IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET IN YOUR HOME THEN THE FUSE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND THE PLUG CUT OFF AND DISPOSED OF SAFELY. THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVERE ELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THE CUT OFF PLUG IS INSERTED INTO ANY 13-AMP SOCKET OUTLET. If a new plug is to be fitted, please observe the wiring code as shown below. IMPORTANT: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following wiring code. - Blue: Neutral - Brown: Live Replacing the fuse The location of the fuse differs according to the type of plug of the supplied mains lead as follows. 1 Open the fuse cover with a screwdriver. Type A Type B 2 Replace the fuse and close or attach the fuse cover. Tool bag kit For accessories, etc. (MC-UL712 only) 5 Using the Appliance Operating the appliance 1 Insert the connection pipe to suction inlet. Ensure that the 2 hooks of the connection pipe are completely fitted into the suction inlet. Suction inlet 6 Press the beater bar switch to run the beater bar anytime you need. Beater bar switch Press the beater bar switch when the appliance is in an upright position, and the beater bar will automatically stop rotating. Even if pressing the beater bar switch when the appliance is in an upright position, beater bar won't rotate. Please pay attention for the lower cord storage hook not to hit the floor, or a nozzle will separate from a floor. 7 To unlock the handle of the appliance, step on the foot pedal and the handle angle can be changed freely. To return into the upright position, simply put the handle back until it clicks. 3 Fix the mains lead into the cord clip to help secure it during use.
