SQW0248 until 2015/1/28 Read this first ∫ About the recording format for recording motion pictures WX970 series/ VX870 series You can select from AVCHD*1, 4K MP4*2, MP4*2 or iFrame*2 recording formats to record motion pictures using this unit. (l 82) V770 series/ V760 You can select from AVCHD*1, MP4*2 or iFrame*2 recording formats to record motion pictures using this unit. or edited content, and does not guarantee any content if recording or editing does not work properly. If you connect a USB HDD (commercially-available) to this unit by using a USB Connection Cable (commercially-available), you can copy motion pictures and still pictures recorded on this unit to a USB HDD. It can also play back the scenes and still pictures copied to the USB HDD. ≥ You can copy scenes and still pictures recorded with this unit while maintaining the image quality. ≥ Please read the operating instructions of the USB HDD for how to use it. Preparing for copying/playing back Refer to the following support site for information about USB HDD. http://panasonic. jp/support/global/cs/e_cam (This Site is English only) When the USB HDD that requires formatting is connected, a message is displayed. Once the USB HDD has been formatted, all data stored on it will be deleted. ≥ In the following cases, a USB HDD cannot be used by connecting it to this unit: j A USB HDD with a capacity of below 160 GB or above 2 TB j When a USB HDD has two or more partitions j If a USB HDD is in a format other than FAT32 j When connected by using a USB hub  USB Connection Cable (commercially-available) USB HDD (commercially-available) Turn the side with the symbol up to connect the micro A end of the USB Connection Cable to the USB terminal of this unit. ≥ Connect this unit to the AC adaptor A B C - 137 - 1 2 3 4 (When using a desktop HDD) Connect the AC adaptor (supplied with USB HDD) to the USB HDD. ≥ If you are using a bus-powered or portable USB HDD, this unit can supply power to the USB HDD by USB Connection Cable (commercially-available). Connect the AC adaptor and a sufficiently charged battery to this unit Turn on this unit, and press the recording/playback button to switch this unit to the Playback Mode. Connect this unit to the USB HDD with the USB Connection Cable (commercially-available). ≥ If the AC adaptor is not connected to this unit, the USB HDD cannot be used. ≥ Use a USB Connection Cable (commercially-available) compatible with the USB terminals of this unit and the USB HDD. Connect the micro A end of the USB Connection Cable to the USB terminal of this unit. For information on the USB terminal of the USB HDD, refer to the operating instructions of the USB HDD. ≥ It may take several minutes until the connection is completed. 5 Touch the desired item. Copies all scenes and still pictures recorded with this unit that have not been copied yet. (l 140) Allows you to select desired scenes/still pictures, and then copy. (l 140) Plays back scenes and still pictures stored in a USB HDD on this unit. (l 141) Allows you to safely remove this unit and a USB HDD. [Simple copy]: [Copy selected files]: [Playback HDD]: [Safe Removal]: ≥ Following can be performed by connecting the USB HDD with the scenes and still pictures copied from this unit to other devices. j Save on a PC or rewrite on USB HDD using HD Writer AE 5. 2 When the USB HDD is connected to other devices such as Blu-ray disc recorder, a message prompting to format the USB HDD may display. [. . . ] ≥ The sound of the Remote Pan Tilt Cradle in operation will be recorded. ≥ If you start recording after making changes to the setup of the Remote Pan Tilt Cradle, such as switching the Remote Pan Tilt Cradle Mode or changing the location of the Remote Pan Tilt Cradle, it may rotate and return to its home position. ≥ Once the operation starts, do not disconnect the USB cable or move the Remote Pan Tilt Cradle and this unit until the operation is finished.
