[. . . ] Leica LAS EZ Release Notes V 1. 8. 0 Leica LAS EZ Release Notes V1. 8. 0 Abstract This document describes the V 1. 8. 0 release of the Leica LAS EZ software for Leica educational microscopes and cameras. All reasonable steps have been taken to ensure that this publication is correct and complete, but should any user be in doubt about any detail, clarification may be sought from Leica Microsystems (Switzerland) Ltd, or their accredited representative. [. . . ] Upon inserting the CD into your computer you should be presented with your options to install the software or browse any supporting documentation on the CD. However, if auto-run is disabled in your computer or the CD fails to run, open Windows Explorer for the CD and double-click "LASEZ. exe". 3 Reason for this Release This version is for maintenance work that has taken place since the release of version V1. 7. 0 of LAS EZ. It also introduces support for the Leica IC80 HD integrated camera for stereo microscopes. Leica LAS EZ Release Notes Page 4 of 10 4 System Requirements 4. 1 Operating System Supported Microsoft operating systems are: Windows Vista 32 & 64 bit (Business & Ultimate) Windows XP Professional (minimum Service Pack 2) Please Note: Windows XP-64 bit and Windows 2000 are not supported. In addition, Vista security requires you to start the installer by right-clicking and selecting "Run as administrator" even if you are logged on with administrator privileges. 4. 2 Computer The recommended PC computer specification is as follows: Pentium 4 + 3GHz Processor + 1Gb RAM memory Graphics: 128Mb RAM supporting 32 bit The graphics adapter must support the use of DirectX 9 High-Speed USB port (USB 2. 0) is necessary or free PCI slot (for addition of High Speed USB adapter) CD-ROM drive to install from the CD Please Note: Faster computers, additional RAM memory and more advanced graphics adapters may improve LAS EZ performance. Running other programs at the same time may limit LAS EZ performance. 4. 3 Language LAS EZ is supported in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified) or Japanese operating systems. If your operating system is not in one of these languages LAS EZ will open in English. Shading: Overwritten shading reference names sometimes showed the old shading pattern. This has been fixed. Factory Reset: There is a new option to reset the camera configuration to factory settings. 6. 3 Fixes in V1. 6. 0 White Balance: There have been improvements to the ROI white balance. This is fixed. 6. 4 Features in V1. 5. 0 This version fully supports Vista 32 & 64 bit operating systems. 6. 5 Features in V1. 4. 0 This version supports Vista (32 bit) operating systems. Leica EZ4 D: Settings can be applied for standalone use when closing LAS EZ.
