Move the highlight bar to "M. W. B. " by rotating the Select Dial, then press it. Menu appears.

Move the highlight bar to the required white balance by rotating the Select Dial. " : HALOGEN" When using a video light or other similar type of lighting. "MWB" When shooting with the white balance already having been set on the subject ( pg. The Menu Screen reappears with the highlight bar on "RETURN". Press the Select Dial again to close the Menu Screen.
To Return To Automatic White Balance . Or set the Power Switch to "AUTO".

White balance cannot be used when Sepia ( activated. 33) is

Manual White Balance Operation
If the camera is operating in PRO. mode, perform a Manual White Balance when shooting under various types of lighting.
1 SELECT OPERATION SYSTEM AND MODE
Follow steps 1 through 4 of the white balance adjustment ( pg. 42), and select "MWB".
2 SET MANUAL WHITE BALANCE

Hold a sheet of plain white paper in front of the subject. Adjust zoom or position yourself so that the white paper fills the screen. ·When the setting is completed, "MWB" stops blinking, and the Menu Screen reappears with the highlight bar on "RETURN".

To Change The Tint For Recording . Red paper -- deeper green; blue paper -- orange; yellow paper -- deeper purple.

In step 2, it may be difficult to focus on the white paper in some circumstances. A subject can be shot under various types of lighting conditions indoors (natural, flourescent, candlelight, etc. ). Because the color temperature is different depending on the light source, the tint of the subject will differ depending on the white balance settings. Once you adjust white balance during Manual White Balance operation, the setting is retained even if the power is turned off or the battery removed.

RECORDING Advanced Features (cont. )
Self-Timer
You can set the delay between pressing the Recording Start/Stop button and the actual start of recording. If you secure the camcorder, you (or whoever is operating the camcorder) can enter the scene before recording starts.

Before performing the following steps, make sure that: The System Select Switch is set to "VIDEO" or "D. S. C. " according to your needs. The camcorder is in the Record-Standby mode.
