Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] The domestic refrigerators and freezers are designed to be used specifically for the storage of edible foodstuffs only. Manufacturers' storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. Always ensure that there is adequate ventilation as a failure to do this will result in component failure and possible food loss. Before any cleaning or maintenance work is carried out, be sure to switch off and unplug the appliance. [. . . ] 5 Position the runners (H) at the top and bottom of the inside of the kitchen unit as shown in Fig. After preparing the h o l e s , s c re w t h e D094 runners to the kitchen unit door using 3. 5x16 mm screws. PR34 16 Fig. Replace the little plates over the runners and screw in the screws provided (3. 5x16 mm). For the alignment of the kitchen unit PR35 door, if necessary, use the clearance size of the slotted holes. At the end of the procedure, check that the doors of the appliance and the kitchen unit open properly. 17 OPERATION Starting-up and Temperature Regulation Insert the plug into the wall socket. Open the refrigerator door and turn the thermostat knob, to be found on the upper right side of the inner liner clockwise, beyond the «O» position, to start the appliance. Temperature adjustment is obtained by turning the thermostat knob to the required setting. However, the thermostat knob setting should be adjusted depending on the temperature required inside the appliance. This, in turn, depends on a number of factors such as the ambient temperature, the number of times the door is opened, the quantity of food stored and the location of the appliance. Turn the knob clockwise, to higher numbers, to obtain a lower temperature, or anticlockwise if a higher temperature is required. Important Do not put carbonated liquids (fizzy drinks, etc. ) in the freezing compartment as they may burst. Water ices, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezing compartment, can possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt. On the rear of the door you will find a list of foods followed by a number. These numbers indicate the maximum period of time for which the food in question may be conserved (in months). Storage of frozen food To obtain the best performance from this appliance, we strongly recommend that you make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were adequately stored by the retailer and, furthermore, be sure that these frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the foodstore to the consumer in the shortest possible time (a temperature increase of the frozen food could shorten its storage period). It is also advisable not to exceed the storage period indicated by the producer of the food. Finally, do not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than is absolutely necessary. [. . . ] Remember that an increase in the surface temperature of already-frozen foods may significantly decrease the duration of their conservation. 20 MAINTENANCE Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation. Interior light The light bulb inside the refrigerator compartment can be reached as follows: unscrew the light cover securing screws; unhook the moving part by pressing it as shown in the figure. If the door is open and the light does not come on, check that the bulb is properly screwed in; if it still does not work, replace the bulb with one of the same power. 16 Internal cleaning Clean the interior periodically with lukewarm water and some bicarbonate of soda; the cabinet exterior with a Silicone wax spray; the condenser and the motor compressor with a brush or a vacuum cleaner. During periods when the appliance is not in use, take the following precautions: unplug the appliance from the power supply; remove all foodstuffs from the appliance; clean the interior and all accessories; leave the doors ajar to facilitate the circulation of air in the interior of the cabinet so as to prevent unpleasant odours from accumulating in the appliance. D411 CUSTOMER SERVICE What to do if the appliance is not functioning properly If something is not working properly, check that: the plug is firmly in the wall socket and the mains power switch is on; there is an electricity supply (find out by plugging in another appliance); the thermostat knob is on the correct position.
