Regarding the differences between the DZ-BD7HE/DZ-BD7HE (UK) and the DZ-BD70E/ DZ-BD70E (UK), please first refer to "How to Read this Instruction Manual" (p. 11). [. . . ] Do not insert a BD-R/DVD-RW/ DVD-R recorded, but not finalised, on a recorder manufactured by a company other than Hitachi into this camcorder. Doing so may make the disc unusable. Notes on Finalisation Do not insert a DVD which was recorded or dubbed, but not finalised, on this camcorder into another recording device, such as a DVD recorder. Although discs recorded on this camcorder can be played back on recording/playing devices which comply with specific discs or recording modes, playback of all discs under all conditions is not guaranteed. If playback is not possible, use this camcorder to play back your disc. Playback may stop for a moment temporarily between scenes while playing on a BD/DVD recorder/ player. If you record or finalise a BD-R/ DVD-RW (VF mode)/DVD-R Viewing on the Other Devices 118 To play back a disc recorded on this camcorder using another BD/DVD recorder/player, refer to the table below. (Please also read the instruction manual for the playback device. ) Playback is possible on a BD recorder/player compatible with 8 cm discs and recording format specified on p. 176. For BD-R, it is necessary to first finalise it on this camcorder (p. 120) before playback. Playback is possible on a DVD recorder/player compatible with 8 cm DVD-RAM/DVD-RW (VR mode)/+RW discs. Viewing on the Other Devices 119 · A recorded +RW is automatically finalised when it is removed from the camcorder even if you do not use the disc navigation function to finalise it (auto-finalise). An auto-finalised +RW can be played back on a DVD recorder/ player, etc. , but no DVD video menu will appear. To display the DVD video menu on a DVD recorder/player, etc. , finalise the +RW using the disc navigation function before playing it back on a DVD recorder/player, etc. · A +RW with a shorter recording time may not be playable on a DVD recorder/player, etc. In this case, use the disc navigation function to finalise the +RW. BD-R -RW (VR) -RW (VF) R +RW Finalising a Disc Before you begin You must finalise a BD-R/DVD-RW (VF mode)/DVD-R/+RW recorded/ dubbed on this camcorder before playing it back using a BD/DVD recorder/player compatible with 8 cm discs.
