Manual abstract: user guide GRACO OP-139
Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] Proper placement of the lubricant reduces friction and wear of moving parts and thereby minimizes operational problems. 3. 0 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS 150-1500 SUS (30-300 ISO) at operating temperature. Viscosity improvers (tackifiers) degrade performance and must be approved by Graco prior to use. [. . . ] Run air and oil lines from reservoir to trip valve and nozzle plate assemblies. Fill reservoir with CLEAN oil using care to prevent any foreign material from entering reservoir. 5. 3 Electrical Installation
Connect power to the unit as noted on the wiring diagram. 5. 4 Priming Pump and Oil Lines After reservoir is filled: Loosen stop plug from tapered end of pump. Re-tighten stop plug and cycle system until lubricant appears at the nozzle serviced by No. Continue to cycle the system until lubricant appears at all nozzles.
NOTE: Do not allow reservoir to run dry as pump may be damaged. Re-priming will be necessary if lubricator runs dry or air is introduced into pump by any means. 5. 6 Shot Velocity Adjustment
To determine if you are getting the best oil delivery, it will be necessary to observe the oil as it leaves the nozzle. If it appears to be atomized, the air pressure is too high; if it appears lazy and is not hitting pin joint, air pressure is too low. 5. 7 Nozzle Adjustment
With conveyor running and lubricator engaged, see that nozzle tubes are properly positioned and oil is being delivered to chain pins at the proper point. 5. 8 Initial Break-In
It is advisable to check lubricator performance after one or two weeks of operation to confirm installation and nozzle adjustments were made properly and are secure. Failure to turn the conveyor off may result in personal injury or equipment damage.

CONTROLS
The controls assembly includes a gravity fed pump, manifold, and air pressure regulator. 7. 0 MAINTENANCE
Regular cleaning and maintenance prolongs the life and improves the performance of the lubricator. CAUTION: When cleaning the lubricator, keep cloth away from nozzle tips, inside of reservoir, and pump parts. Manually cycle the pneumatic trip valve to see that lubricant is dispensing correctly. Check lubricant shot accuracy regularly to guarantee that nozzles are aligned properly and are dispensing lubricant to the target points. SK-488

GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUSE Empty reservoir Pump air locked. Back out the stop pug (not necessary to remove), allow the pump to cycle until oil is being delivered around the threads of the stop plug without the presence of air bubbles. [. . . ] If after reinstallation the nozzles continue to drip, they must be replaced.
Pump cycles once as power is applied, but not afterwards. Oil splash off of the wear point.
Trip valve improperly adjusted or defective, or proximity switch is defective. Air pressure set too high.
Adjust or replace trip valve or proximity switch. [. . . ]
