Ratio Adjustment
RATIO ADJUSTMENT
The dual hydraulic system and pumpline of the Pro VR allow the chemical outputs to be adjusted independently of one another. The output or flow rate of each chemical is measured by counting the number of cycles its corresponding pump dispenses per a given amount of time. The position of the flow control adjustment screw, located on each of the hydraulic pumps mounted to the motor, determines this cycle rate, thus controlling the output. The further in the adjustment is, the slower or lower output the system will dispense. The further out the adjustment is, the faster or higher output the system will dispense. Determine that the supply system is at the proper temperature as recommended by the chemical system supplier, the individual chemicals are properly mixed within their drums/day tanks, and the moisture protection system is properly set for operation. The light within the switch and the temperature controllers will light up. If the alarm will not reset, increase the supply pressure to greater that 40 psi. The chemical pumps will move to the retract position and each hydraulic pump pressure gauge will indicate pressure present. Both the iso and resin hydraulic pump pressure gauges should be set to 1200 psi. Adjust the hydraulic pump pressures as required (clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease). 7.

9.
NOTE: Factory setting for the unit is approximately 16 lb/min at a ratio of 1:1.
10. Depress the reset button on each of the two cycle counters at the same time and allow the system to cycle for at least one full minute. Compare the number of counts on each side and adjust the iso or resin hydraulic pump flow control adjustment as follows: a) Remove the cover and loosen the locking nut.
b) Using the chart below, establish the counts required for the specific output and ratio. c) Turn the adjustment knob (clockwise to decrease output, counterclockwise to increase output).
IMPORTANT: Hydraulic pump flow control adjustment should not protrude from the pump more than 1" (25. 4 mm). 9/2/04 25

IMPORTANT: The orifices in the dispensing gun and the output of each chemical pump will establish the dispensing pressure. If the orifices are fixed, increase the output for a higher dispensing pressure or decrease for a lower dispensing pressure.

NOTE: Both the locking nut and caps contain o-ring seals.
14. [. . . ] Change the lubricant before it becomes a gel, or when its color darkens as it becomes diluted with isocyanate. The time interval between changes due to gel formation depends on environmental conditions in which the equipment is operating. The enclosed lubrication system of the Pro VR minimizes exposure to moisture, but moisture contamination is still possible. Discoloration of the pump lubricant is due to continual seepage of small amounts of isocyanate past the pump packing during operation. [. . . ]
