Manual abstract: user guide GRACO 310745C
Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] · Keep work area free of debris, including solvent, rags and gasoline. · Do not plug or unplug power cords or turn lights on or off when flammable fumes are present. · Ground equipment, personnel, object being sprayed, and conductive objects in work area. [. . . ] Connect atomizing air line from AFS (A) to shutoff valve upper port (B; N/O). ProMix II: Install atomizing air line from AFS (A) to shutoff valve lower port (B; N/C).
Install Solenoid
1. Turn off EasyKeyTM/Control Box power, and shut off power at main circuit breaker. 3): Remove two sealing screws (SS), and install the solenoid valve (3). 4): Remove blank plate at gun flush box solenoid location, and install the solenoid valve (3).
3. Connect an air line from the shutoff valve outlet port (C) to the gun air inlet.
NOTE: In a two gun ProMix 2KS or ProMix 2KE system, install the second solenoid as shown. Remove air manifold plug from row B (marked on manifold) and install tube fitting (4). NOTE: In a two gun ProMix 2KS or ProMix 2KE system, install the second tube fitting as shown.
Connect Pneumatic Controls Tubing
You must connect safety interlock air to prevent atomizing air from turning on during flushing. (4 mm) OD tubing (1) from solenoid outlet port (4) to the shutoff valve pilot port (D).

Operation
Operation
Follow the operating instructions in your proportioner's Operation manual.
When the operator starts a purge or color change sequence, the solenoid (3) shuts off, which stops the air supply to the shutoff valve pilot port (D). Without air pressure, the atomizing air shutoff valve (2) closes, which shuts off the atomizing air supply to the gun.
Operation Sequence
ProMix 2KS and ProMix 2KE: During normal mix mode there is no air supplied to the pilot port. The solenoid (3) supplies an air signal to the pilot port to shut off atomizing air to the gun during purge or color change mode.
