[. . . ] 6BA 4. BIOS CONFIGURATION Award's BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to modify the basic system configuration. This type of information is stored in batterybacked CMOS SRAM so that it retains the Setup information when the power is turned off. 4. 1. V/H SYNC + Blank Blank Screen DPMS BIOS will turn off V/H-SYNC when gets into Green mode for Green monitor power saving. (The Green type VGA card will turn of V/HSYNC automatically. ) · Suspend Mode The default value is Disable. Setup the timer to enter Suspend Mode. · HDD Power Down The default value is Disable. Enable HDD Power Down mode between 1 to 15 mins. · VGA Active Monitor The default value is Disabled. [. . . ] SUPERVISOR / USER PASSWORD When you select this function, the following message will appear at the center of the screen to assist you in creating a password. Figure 4. 10: Password Setting Type the password, up to eight characters, and press <Enter>. The password typed now will clear the previously entered password from CMOS memory.
