It is very important that you follow the recharging instructions or this could seriously reduce the life of the battery. When the operation time of your Ewbank 123 begins to reduce and the appliance sounds `laboured' it is probably time to replace the battery Recharging · Firmly position the charger plug into the recharging jack on the handheld unit. Plug the connectors into the new battery making sure that the RED wire is connected to the battery pole marked RED. When replacing the battery in the motor housing, the wires must be inserted first and the battery fitted with the connectors positioned towards the end of the unit.
