Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Sociedad Unipersonal offers you our thanks for the confidence you place in us in your purchase of your new model SENDA R/SM RACING In this handbook we outline the most important items in the care of your moped to achieve the best possible service for the longest time and at the least possible cost. The way you ride determines your fuel consumption and therefore how much your moped pollutes the atmosphere. In the same way, the way you treat your moped affects its noise level and wear and tear on the vehicle. In the Owner's instruction handbook you will find a series of points of information on how to ride in an ecologically sound manner, which will also be the most economic way to ride your moped. [. . . ] In this case carry out the following operations: - Empty the fuel tank and fill it with 2-3 litres of 1% mixture of AGIP CROSS - Start the engine and run it at idling speed. - Slacken the bleed screw (A) and at the same time turn the control lever (B) of the oil pump by hand, until a continuous bubble-free oil flow emerges. Note: For greater safety it is advised to use the indicated mixture in the tank, and only afterwards to fill up with Unleaded Fuel. NOTE: If the foam is obstructed with dust, this will increase the resistance to the intake of air, resulting in a loss of power and an increase in fuel consumption. It is recommended to clean the foam every 5, 000 km by the following procedure: - Remove the right-hand side cover (1). - Press the filter between the palms of your hands several times to squeeze out the cleaning liquid. Then squeeze out the oil by pressing the foam between the palms of your hands several times. - When the foam is clean, replace it in the filter case by following the above procedure in the reverse order. - Before and during the cleaning operation, examine the air filter foam carefully: if you see that it is defective, replace it with a new one. - If you ride regularly on dusty roads, you should clean the air filter foam more frequently. Always make sure that the foam is in excellent condition: the life of the engine depends greatly on this component. Carburettor Trouble-free carburation is the key to good engine performance. the carburettor has been factory-adjusted to give the best carburation. NOTE: It is advisable to clean the carburettor periodically, using clean petrol and compressed air. Adjustment of the idling speed This operation must be carried out with the engine warm, in neutral and without using the accelerator. Turn the idling adjustment screw (1) inwards or outwards until the idling speed reaches a point where the engine almost stops but still runs smoothly. For any other adjustment of the carburettor, we recommend that you contact an Official DERBI Service Centre. Zündkerze Makes of spark plug: NGK B8ES CHAMPION N3C Periodically remove the spark plug, clean the electrodes and examine the wear on them. The use of an inappropriate spark plug may cause serious damage to the engine. Lubrication and greasing Remove the oil filler cap (1) regularly and check the oil level. With the engine hot, remove the oil drain plug from the right hand side crankcase cover (2) and from the centre crankcase section (3). Replace the drain plugs, and fill through the filler cap hole (1) using 0. [. . . ] - Riding in coastal areas - Adhesion of tar, sap from trees, bird droppings, and dead insects. - Riding in areas with heavy smoke, dirt, dust and chemical content in the air. Wash the vehicle as quickly as possible: Washing should never be carried out in direct sunlight, particularly in the summer when the bodywork is still hot, because the soap will dry before it can be rinsed off, and this may cause damage to the paintwork and to the varnish protecting the chromed parts. Washing vehicles should be carried out in areas specifically equipped for recovering or eliminating the detergents used when washing the vehicle. [. . . ]
