We recommend that this appliance is connected to the mains supply via a suitably switched and fused socket in a readily accessible position. Should the mains lead of the appliance becom damaged or should it need replacing at any time, it must bee replaced by a special purpose made mains lead which can only be obtained from a BEKO Authorized Service Agent. [. . . ] If you are going to store already frozen food open the freezer lid and check that the freezer has reached the correct temperature. If you are going to freeze fresh Food, you should turn the thermostat knob to SUPER and wait for at least three hours before putting in your fresh food to be frozen. We recommend that you set the thermostat knob at 4 and monitor the temperature to ensure the appliance maintains desired storage temperatures (see section Temperature Control and Adjustment section). We recommend that you check the temperature with an accurate thermometer (see; Temperature Control and Adjustment). Frozen food should not be affected if the failure lasts for less than 28 hours. If the failure is longer, then the food should be checked and either eaten immediately or cooked and then re-frozen. lf you iind that the lid of the chest freezer is difficult foopen just after you have closed it, don't worry. This is due to the pressure difference which will equalize and allow the lid to be opened normally ofter a few minutes 6 TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND ADJUSTMENT Temperature is controlled by the thermostat knob which is located at the front of the cabinet. The normal storage temperature of your appliance should be -18 °C (0 °F). Lower temperatures may be obtained by adiusting the thermostat knob toward "SUPER" position. We recommended that you check the temperature with a thermometer to ensur that the Freezer is kept to the desired temperature. Remember you must take reading very quickly since the thermometer temperature will rise very rapidly you remove it horn the freezer. Please remember each time the lid is opened cold air escapes and the internal temperature rises. Therefore never leave the lid open and ensure it is closed: immediately after Food is put in or removed. When you set the thermostat knob to [OFF] position, the appliance will be switched off. 1 2 INDICATOR LIGHTS Green Indicator Light(l); Illuminates when the appliance is connected to the mains and will glow as there is electricity present. The green light will not glow if the thermostat is set at the "OF" position. The green indicator does not give any indication of the temperature inside the freezer. When the appliance is first switched on, and will stay until the pre-set temperature has been attained. If the appliance lid is left open accidentally. 7 OFF SU R PE POWER STORING FROZEN FOOD Prepackaged commercially frozen should be stored in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions for a frozen food storage compartment.
